Now for the "About Me" bit:
1. I do a bit of music writing. This is mostly instrumental, with some arranging of songs and setting poems to music. I haven't written much music lately, mostly because I've been distracted by writing words. Lately, the themes that have been circling through my head involve arranging the songs from Caridad Svich's Twelve Ophelias.
2. I do tarot readings. What started as an offhand writer-research-interest for a horror story I was working on actually turned into a bit of a hobby. Mind you, don't get all mad and call me a witch. They don't tell the future, for one. (At least not according to the style in which I was taught.) Which unfortunately means that I had to rethink and shelve the horror story. But hey, now I can freak out all my friends at parties! ;)
3. I currently have no voice. I have laryngitis, and may develop actual strep throat (although I hope I don't). I've been on mandated voice rest for the past few days. Starting Monday, I'm allowed to try and talk again.
4. I love grapefruit juice!!! Haha that was very random and weird, but yesterday I went to the grocery store to buy a ton of soup, vitamins, and whatnot, and stumbled across some grapefruit juice. I forgot how much I loved the stuff.
5. My dream play to direct is John Ford's 'Tis Pity She's a Whore. This is a twisted tragedy with so much richness of plot and character to delve into, it makes me want to do an evil squee. Not to mention the challenge of getting audiences to come to a play with "whore" in the title. I want to direct it someday.
6. If I was a ghost, I would either haunt my cello or perpetuate the Macbeth curse.
